The King

So, after I finished the Stained Glass Bag, with lots of extra yarn, I decided a hat would be awesome. I love the way the brim swoops over the forehead and ears. I have only the very last few decreasing rounds to go. I haven't decided if I will felt it a bit or not...I have a while to decide either way. I just loved this colorway of Kureyon. There wasn't one color in this mix that I didn't like, although I wish there was more orange and yellow, but it's gorgeous anyway!

Almost There!

She's been felted! She's almost dry. All I have to do is sew on the handles and line it....although it will be sad hiding that beautiful inside!
I think maybe I felted her a bit too much as she is quite smaller than I expected, but I am just happy my washer actually felted her! She's going to make an awesome little bag!
I will put some pockets on the inside for knitting notions, a wallet and phone.
Now...off the to fabric store to pick out a liner fabric!

Stained Glass

Wow! I'm in love with this bag. I just have the straps to finish, or one strap to finish and then this thing is getting felted! But isn't it just so beautiful? I can't believe I used a pattern, I am so proud of myself. It was so hard to stick to the pattern and not make changes, but I did it. There were a whole hell of a lot of ends to weave in, but it wasn't too bad.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No--It's a Pattern!!

So, a few weeks ago, I was lurking on Moth Heaven's blog and saw this pattern. I'm not one to use patterns, but this thing was so cool, I couldn't resist. I instantly went and bought the pattern on Etsy.

How gorgeous is this? I cannot wait to get it done. Sure, there are a lot of ends to weave in, but it's a lot of fun anyways. It only takes a few moments to knit each little triangle and it is an easy knit. I cannot wait to finish and felt this bag. I haven't had much luck in the past with felting, but I have a newer washer and I hope it will do a better job. If you have any advice about felting, please give it to me, please!
